The IAWD network keeps growing and reaching out to all relevant players with a stake in the region's water sector. The latest significant step is the Memorandum of Understanding with the Water Quality Priority Area of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region that IAWD President Walter Kling has just signed.

Cooperation with the EU Strategy Point promises real win-win solutions in a long list of relevant areas. Topics of joint interests are drinking water management, urban water and waste water management, sludge management, knowledge sharing and capacity building activities, youth and education themes, and general networking.

The MoU covers enhanced cooperation in promotion/advocacy, knowledge sharing, supporting processes and dialogues, projects preparation, identification of funds and projects implementation.
