We proudly present the "Member of the Month" special feature series that provides insights into the work of our members, the successes they achieve, the challenges they overcome, and the thinking behind their IAWD memberships.

We introduce "Member of the Month" because we all know very well that IAWD's success is driven by lively communication, mutual support and shared know-how and experiences. The better we get to know each other, the more positive energy feeds into our community.

The company's mission

The company's mission is to assert ourselves as a competitive supplier, able to satisfy the specific needs of customers through high quality water and sewage services.

Apa Brasov Company delivers water to its consumers, population, institutions and economic agents, collects rainwater and waste water in the sewer system and purifies them according to the applicable standards, with care for the conservation of water resources and with minimal impact on the environment, under the conditions of affordable rates, which will ensure the sustainability of the service in the long term, by creating an infrastructure that will ensure everyone's access to public water supply and sewerage services in the operating area under conditions of economic efficiency.

Three figures and facts

  • Doubling the length of the water and sewage networks operated in the last 20 years. At present, the length of the sewage system is approximately 920 km, the equivalent distance between Brasov and Vienna.
  • Creation of one of the best performing Call Centers in the country, the response time to a call being less than 8 seconds.
  • The advanced application for clients, for IOS and Android named ApaBrasov-mobile.
  • 28% of all our employees are women. This percentage increased by 5% compared to last year.
  • The promotion campaign called “SOS Sewage System!” for adults and children.

Why should young people work in the water sector?

Today's young water professionals have opportunities that did not exist in the water sector in the past: cutting edge technologies, equipment and tools, a warm and professional work environment.

Why did you become an IAWD member?

We want to be part of a "family" of utilities in our river basin, learning and sharing best practice from neighboring peers.
