The Danube Water Program “KnowNow” webinar series focuses on up-to-date topics relevant for the water sector in the Danube region. This webinar will focus on the water sector’s response to extreme weather events to increase resilience and secure water service provision.

Extreme weather events such as floods and droughts are occurring with increasing frequency and intensity in the Danube region. They impose an increasing threat to the economy, society, and the environment, and to the capacity and operations of existing water and sanitation infrastructures and services.

The webinar will raise awareness and shed light on if and how extreme weather events will increase in the Danube region and how to mitigate their effects.
