The ICPDR (International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River) supports the active involvement of stakeholders and civil society on all levels of its work. Two of the most important plans to the ICPDR are the Danube River Basin Management Plan and the Flood Risk Management Plan, aiming to implement the legal requirements of EU Water Framework Directive and EU Floods Directive, comprising strategic guiding plans for water management over the course of six years. Both are to be developed with a range of public consultation measures.

Starting on 31 March the ICPDR invites all Danubians to review and comment  both plans. The draft texts, annexes and maps for both the Danube River Basin Management Plan (DRBMP) and the Danube Flood Risk Management Plan (DFRMP) Updates 2021 can be found online via the ICPDR website (please follow the link below).

Comments on the plans can be submitted by post or to wfd-fd@icpdr.org until the 30th September 2021. In addition, stakeholders are invited to take part in ICPDR's public consultation questionnaire. They will be taken into account for review and finalisation of the plans.
