The 4th European Forum on the Regulation of Water Services (EFRWS25) is a multi-stakeholder conference focused entirely on economic regulation in the drinking water and wastewater sector. Organised by WAREG, it will examine how European water regulation turns EU objectives on resilience, competitiveness and sustainability into practice - through tariff frameworks for resilience, performance benchmarking and KPIs, and extended producer responsibility (EPR). The programme features three consecutive panels dedicated to these themes.
As climate pressures, affordability constraints and investment needs intensify, independent economic regulation is central to credible, financeable and fair outcomes. EFRWS25 brings together regulators, EU institutions, operators, consumer organisations and financiers to examine what works and why.
