The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine within the Economic, Environmental and Politico-Military Programme is implementing projects aimed at environmental protection and water management.

In 2021, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine is implementing the project “Supporting Water Resources Planning and Management in Eastern Ukraine”. The project envisages the development of the elements for the Don river basin river basin management plan, specifically, preparing the programme of measures in line with the “Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for the Community action in the field of water policy” (EU Water Framework Directive).
