IAWD, the International Association of Water Service Companies in the Danube River Catchment Area, is the prime association of water and wastewater utilities in the Danube region – an international cooperation network with a shared vision, a shared mission, and a shared approach. We believe in strength through cooperation.

Our aim is to create a strong voice that promotes the ongoing improvement of water services and utility operation in the Danube region: The Voice of the Danube.

IAWD Membership Types
Utility Membership

is restricted to legal entities providing public water supply and/or wastewater management services in IAWD’s operating area.

Association Membership

is offered to any active professional non-profit making, non-governmental organisation /institution/ association representing a field of the water sector in their country (or part of the country) and promote the objectives of IAWD through their work.

Corporate Membership

is open to appropriate commercial, profit-making and other organisations active in a field of the water sector and supporting the objectives of IAWD through their activities. 

Research and Academia Membership

is available for any research unit, such as university, research institution, department, laboratory, or any another appropriate unit, in a field of the water sector.

Young Water Professionals
(YWP) Chapter

is available for YWP Chapters that have a legal status or are associated with a respective institution (e.g. their national association) that is a member of IAWD.
